Transmission Diagnostics and Failure Management Controls Engineer

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
This Control System Engineering position involves the design, implementation, and validation of control system features for Transmission Diagnostics and Failure Management.  The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, capture, and maintain requirements for next generation transmission technologies.
  • Create and/or maintain control feature documentation and calibration crib sheets/guides
  • Design control system to meet functional, regulatory, safety, and functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements
  • Implement control system design in a model based environment and/or C scripting language
  • Conduct detailed validation simulations and testing of control system models and generated code
  • Lead control system implementation planning to meet functional, cost, quality, and timing objectives
  • Troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain functional issues; determine and validate corrective actions and preventative measures
Job Requirements:
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1+ years of engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience in MatLab/Simulink/Stateflow
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of modeling, simulation and testing techniques
  • Proficient in MatLab/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Working knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles
  • Classical, modern, and digital control theory coursework and experience with analysis of control systems
