Position Summary:

Mobile Application Security Engineer
 
Position Overview/Description: 
 
The successful candidate will work closely with the Architecture and Application Development organizations to help build Security into Ford’s Mobile Applications and In-Vehicle Systems.  The ideal new team member has solid knowledge in the mobile space as well as deep experience with the security of systems communicating to vehicles - and within vehicles.  Training will be available for the exceptional candidate that needs to build skills in specific areas. 
This position requires working closely with multiple security team members to ensure the delivery of a holistic solution.  Proven ability to guide and motivate individuals that one does not have direct Supervisory responsibility over will be a key success factor.
 
Responsibilities: 
 
 

• Delivery of holistic security solutions to engaged application development teams
• Lead consulting and communication between security, development and architecture
• Primary interface to developers on security requirements
• Working with architects to determine and communicate security requirements for back-end application tiers and related tooling
• Threat modeling
• Coordination of penetration tests
• Interfacing with other security groups on incident response
• Providing consistent Security representation at all relevant internal meetings, vendor evaluations, etc.
• Facilitation of required internal documentation

 
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study
• 2+ years of security experience
• 2+ years of experience with  Threat Modeling

 
Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Master's in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study
• IT Policy setting experience
• Working knowledge of ISO27001
• CISSP certification
• 2+ Mobile App Dev &/or Security Projects
