Position Summary:

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and prioritizing trade-offs between system weight, NVH performance, package, efficiency and cost.
  • Addressing launch issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Must be able to work with manufacturing and vehicle operations to assure all process issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Delivering new programs on-time and on-budget, includes working with interfacing engineering departments to deliver cost reduction and quality improvement actions.
  • Understanding and delivering system analysis – includes working with external teams to assess and improve transmission and driveline performance.
  • Lead Interface design open issues meeting.
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3 years + of experience in the design of complex automotive powertrain or electro-mechanical systems
  • 3 years + of experience and the engineering education to understand, determine and optimize trade-offs between system weight, NVH performance, package, efficiency and cost
  • 3 years + of experience managing multiple assignments and prioritizing workload
  • 3 years + of experience in the use of MS Office Professional (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other standard office computer applications
  • 3 years + of experience in leading teams to resolve complex durability / manufacturing concerns
  • 3 years + of experience in applied Engineering Physics - includes experience translating customer requirements into Engineering Specifications.
