Hybrid Powertrain System Engineer

Position Summary:

In this position you will be responsible for developing next generation of hybrid powertrain systems and integrate into vehicle programs. You will work cross functionally collaborating with multiple engineering activities to meet program deliverables.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Attribute and cost balance analysis of hybrid system design
  • Support definition of hybrid powertrain architectures and a cascade engineering targets
  • Develop innovative technologies to improve customer experience with Ford Motor Company electrified vehicles (e.g. convenience features, fuel economy, etc)
  • Organize issues for variety of cross-functional teams with a drive for resolution
Job Requirements:
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • BS Engineering degree, Mechanical or Electrical (BSME or BSEE) 
  • 5 years experience with hybrid or electric vehicle hardware and/or software
  • 5 years of hybrid powertrain systems functionality
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • MSME or MSEE
  • Experience working in large cross-functional matrix teams (5+ years)
  • Experience with technical program management (5+ years)
  • Demonstrated Technical and Systems Engineering mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
