Electrical Distribution – Entry Level Harness Engineer

The Electrical Distribution- Entry Level Harness Engineer is responsible for:

 

  • Direct CAD activity 3D routing and package layout
  • Support Logical and physical schematic development
  • Design wire harness using Zuken E3 toolset. Utilize best design for manufacturing, assembly, and failure mode avoidance practices
  • Create and maintain program specific foundation documents
  • Develop and/or direct manufacturing print development and release
  • Create and maintain harness family complexity
  • Create and maintain installation illustrations
  • Maintain design version control
  • Manage component and harness part delivery
  • Master harness assessment and sign-off
  • Support vehicle assembly plant builds on-site
  • Address vehicle assembly issues, make necessary design changes
  • Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaignable warranty impact. Raise and resolve AIMS.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree (Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years vehicle wiring or vehicle electrical systems experience.
