Work on a Team to develop exciting new electric steering control features. Work closely with internal SW developers and suppliers to develop and validate features to support vehicle development timing.
Design, develop and innovate electromechanical steering technologies
Develop Functional Safety and FMA Documentation (ISO 26262, DFMEA, etc.)
Develop and validate steering features in vehicle
Use in-vehicle tuning software, Matlab and Simulink
Troubleshoot electromechanical systems
Write presentations and communicate well with various groups
Use good team work skills and practices
Responsibilities:
Implement advanced features on steering systems
Develop specifications, requirements and test methods for features
Develop concepts/documentation for functional safety of features and steering systems
Lead validation and verification of functional safety items of features and steering systems
Manage steering work plans to meet program timing
Root cause feature issues related to SW or vehicle HW
Innovate and Develop new processes and tools to improve productivity
MS in Electrical/Aerospace/Mechanical/Computer Science
2 years’ experience in Engineering role for Chassis systems (Steering, Brakes, Suspension)
2 years of controls system and state machine development experience
Demonstrated proficiency with CAN communication and databases
Demonstrated proficiency using Matlab and Simulink Stateflow
Experience applying Systems Engineering
Demonstrated proficiency in using CANAPE
Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems
Ability to manage/resolve urgent launch concerns
Experience or knowledge of working with ISO-26262
Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance
Experience using Matlab and Simulink
Good communications and project management skills
Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction
Good team player
