Position Summary:

Position Duties:  

  • Responsible for the specification, development and validation of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) on global vehicle programs.
  • Support regional teams with the development and implementation of regulatory TPMS.
  • Develop and execute robust laboratory and vehicle validation of core and enhanced TPMS features.
  • Develop work plans and lead resolution of TPMS implementation and validation related issues to ensure total system functionality.
  • Support Core TPMS Technical Design Reviews.
  • Support Program Design Validation and Certification.
  • Meet program GPDS deliverables (FMEA, FDVS, DVP, work plans).
  • Manage TPMS test and interface documentation.
  • Provide common interface with global TPMS application team, suppliers, program teams, and cross-functional activities.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with vehicle or laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis to include an understanding of CANalyzer and CANoe 
  • Understanding of automotive safety compliant systems.
  • Familiarity with Ford development tools or equivalent: eFDVS, WERS, Integrator, CDP&R, CANalyzer, CANoe.
  • Understanding of Matlab/Simulink model based design methodologies.
  • Experience in the creation and execution of functional and validation specifications.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • MSEE or Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with the design & development of automotive electrical features
