eShift Systems Calibration/Diagnostics/Software Engineer

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Calibration/Diagnostics/Software Release for an electronic customer interface responsible for a key function within the vehicle.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Calibration/Diagnostics/Software from concept to launch.
  • Facilitate discussions between external suppliers and internal software management groups.
  • Define system function for new electronic shift system customer interface. 
  • Define functional requirements and verify compliance.
  • Manage design rules and component/system level specifications and requirements.
  • Manage supplier and vehicle level testing for related software.
  • Interface with vehicle level electrical systems engineers to define vehicle level system requirements.
  • Manage software interface between the CAD data management group and the device.
  • Review schematics and interpret compatibility between interfacing modules and subsystems.
  • Ownership of software DFMEA's.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for improved reliability and durability performance.
  • Work with design teams to understand and improve component performance, reliability and durability to meet key governmental safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ months experience with CAN communication tools (work and/or internship)
  • 6+ months experience in software calibration and/or diagnostic
  • 6+ months experience with data management for CAN messaging and database.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Ability to read and construct circuit diagrams
  • EMC experience desired
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Ability to work with global cross functional teams for issue resolution
  • Component test experience with bench and/or dyno a plus
