eDrive Systems Engineer – Hybrid Vehicle Team

Position Summary:

Position Duties:

  • Develop and cascade Core eDrive System requirements to meet vehicle level cascaded requirements
  • Develop and release Design Verification (DV) Test Methods for the eDrive System team
  • Collaborate with teams external to eDrive to ensure proper requirement / interface alignment between eDrive and other vehicle subsystems
  • Collaborate with Ford Research and Powertrain groups to optimize and deliver system hardware solutions
  • Develop and maintain Core eDrive System level quality documentation including Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams, DFMEA
  • Support eDrive application teams with development of program specific quality documentation
  • Integrate lessons learned from previous programs into Core foundation documents

Position Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering
  • 2 or more years of Powertrain Systems Engineering experience.
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience with system engineering development methods and documentation
  • 2 or more years experience communicating technical information concisely in team / management reviews

Preferred Requirements:
  • MS Engineering preferred
  • Hybrid powertrain designs preferred
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams and driving product development issues to resolution
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills - ability to organize multiple inputs into succinct summary and manageable discussion
  • Knowledge of Ford requirement and DV management tools preferred
