Network Security Engineer/System Administration Analyst (SME II) (Government)

AUGMENT MID SHIFT (11:00 PM/2300 - 07:30 AM/0730) working position (Wednesday – Sunday)

This position will provide subject matter expertise in the day to day system administration function of the NCDOC network monitoring and modernization effort.

• Candidate will provide hands on monitoring/administration of the NCDOC network modernization effort
• liaison with CNDSP internal stakeholders to maximize mission coordination and effectiveness
• coordinate with Senior SME’s to maximize effect of analysis of network system generated data
• Rapidly assess network traffic, detect data anomalies, and provide detailed reporting on same.
• Provide alert handling mitigation strategies to SME III contract personnel, PM II, and NCDOC GS staff.
• Serves as the team member to support the analysis of general network technical problems and provides recommendations and technical support in solving these problems.
• Administer network monitoring systems, as well as provide the assessment and implementation of solutions to meet network security requirements.
• Ensure the successful performance of vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.

Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in performing network administration functions, of which must have been accrued within the last five years Specialized experience of at least one year with Navy cyber security and network operations.

Education Preferred Associate of Science degree in information systems, information security, computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Certification Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (Active)
