Job Summary:
The role of the Marketing Manager is to take lead creating and implementing full scope marketing plans across assigned book of businesses with the most opportunity. They are responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing marketing strategies that compel target audience to act. The Marketing Manager will lead research, strategy, execution and measurement of marketing initiatives in order to increase conversion rates, engagement and sales growth. The ability to identify and articulate customer needs and effectively demonstrate marketing efforts to achieve account goals.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and consistently enhance annual/mid-year marketing plans, marketing mix, SWOT analyses, and marketing calendars across assigned accounts and manage the execution to drive sales revenue
• Conduct in-depth research on client, brand, target markets, demographics, and industry
• Lead creation and execution of a metrics-driven marketing strategy setting the right implementation across all available channels including (but not limited to) direct mail, email, blogging, social media, online and digital media, and events
• Review quarterly DAS reports to make recommendations and adjust marketing plans throughout the year to exceed sales forecast across all lines of business
• Create and execute content, copy and campaigns while ensuring timelines and expectations
• Each Marketing Manager is expected to become an expert in their specialty area within the department and conduct best practices, studies, trends, insights, and successes
• Interpret marketing data, benchmarks, insights and evaluations in a clear and informative manner followed up by strong recommendations
• Develop marketing presentation and showcase opportunities, concepts and recommendations to clientele followed up by data, insights and trends
• Review and provide insightful information from customer feedback, CSAT, Yapoo data, and marketing surveys to better align strategy
• Manage relationship with merchandising, sales, marketing, creative and Staples business partners to ensure all projects stay on track and key dates are hit.
• Ensures best practices are applied and successful metrics are established, analyzed and achieved
• Construct clear directions for Art Directors and manage the creative process with internal and external partners
• Participates in bringing latest marketing trends to the team and share across all appropriate opportunities
• Drives awareness and credibility of Staples Promotional Products marketing expertise

• Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency in Google Analytics or similar analytic software
• Experience working with agencies and/or vendors preferred but not required
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
• 4-6 years relevant work experience in marketing or related field. Prefer B2B Marketing
