Purpose

Works with the retail leadership to plan divisional labor cost objectives, while maintaining/improving customer service and store conditions.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Gathers data and updates individual store characteristic profiles for generation of department "Fixed & Variable" labor factors by store.
• Provides daily and weekly store labor cost analysis reports to assist in establishing labor budgets for all stores.
• Supports the requirements that create simple in-store usability and functionality for MPT, Microstrategy and SWS labor management applications, which includes department forecasting, schedule writing, and time & attendance.
• Continually analyzes by location by department performance results and visits stores to assist field operation staffs, as required to accomplish Company expense control goals.
• Supports the Company's future labor management vision by incorporating, on a timely basis, all new divisional and corporate policy changes into labor budgets and performance ratings.
• Performs other labor cost analysis assignments, as requested.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor's Degree in an analytical field preferred or significant equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Assistant Store Director,
Department Head, or similar retail position
• Excellent PC skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
• Above average analytical, organizational, and technical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interface with personnel at all levels effectively
• Ability to simultaneously focus on a multitude of tasks and prioritize
• Some weekend work and/or after normal business hours required to support the overall needs of the business.

Physical Environment

• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
• Some travel may be required.
