Daily management of all replenishment duties and KPI results for all distribution centers in an Area, and all local and Area replenishment personnel
Area leader of the replenishment process along with being the liaison between DC Replenishment and all other DC departments, and where applicable the RSC
Work with Area, region and corporate Category Managers and the Area VP of Merchandising and Marketing to execute sales growth initiatives and stocking new items for sales opportunities
Communicating with replenishment personnel (and RSC) on business updates and Area and DC initiatives along with all demand change information
Through the DC replenishment personnel, monitors inbound product for quality levels and investigates any product concerns and product returned from customer due to quality concerns
Manages the communication of replenishment information to Area staff, DC sales, operations and associates
Manages the follows up on all inventory management concerns, spoilage concerns, and product maintenance information
Collaborates with replenishment personnel (and RSC) to expedite deliveries, costing reconciliation, validate unusual demand, and all inventory management activities
Works with all DC departments on following up on replenishment questions and concerns
Manages the performance and training of all Division replenishment personnel including coaching development and performance management
Manage inventory to ensure adequate supply while meeting or exceeding key service levels’ performance indicators, including the following:
Inventory Loss Minimization
Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH)
Customer Order Fill Rates
Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reserve
Managed Cases/Freight Income
Inbound Cases/Pallet
Slow and Dead Inventory
Special Order Response Time

Education/Training: Four-year college degree in business, operations, or supply chain management, or equivalent food service industry work experience required
Related Experience: Minimum 5 year of purchasing experience required; along with effective people management experience required; food service purchasing and management experience highly preferred. Overnight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company events.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates ability to lead, manage, and train others. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once; ability to function autonomously with very little direction or input. Must be able to achieve performance objectives. Possess a high degree of diplomacy, tact, tenacity and persistence to deal effectively with other stakeholders. Must be organized and have strong communication and follow up skills. Extensive food service knowledge and supply chain experience. Working Knowledge of Microsoft office (e.g., Excel, MS Word,Outlook). May be called upon to travel from the Area Hub to outlying DC’s to do in person meetings and performance reviews with DC buying staff.
