Summary of key duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for providing GM Spring Hill the following; Engaged technical service in the process area of pretreatment and sealer, On site technical and sales support, process preventative maintenance recommendations, Inventory management of pretreatment and sealer products, timely weekly reports, system sampling, problem solving resolution, timely customer inquiry responses, continuous improvement initiatives and expansion of current business. 

 Functional / Technical Skills:

Incumbent should have mechanical aptitude and be able to communicate intelligently and effectively with technical, production and non-technical personnel in order to satisfy customer requirements. Must have an automotive assembly plant work background in the process areas of Pretreatment and or Electrodeposition.  The incumbent should have 3 to 5 years field experience with various automotive coating technologies and applications for pretreatment, Ecoat and sealers.  Good written and oral communication skills.  Strong emphasis in Pretreatment Technology and Application Processes. Overall experience and general knowledge with the entire automotive layering system including ecoat is beneficial. Strong computer skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required.

 

Educational or Required Work Experience:

Required: High school degree and related work experience. Desired: College degree in chemistry, general science, or a related discipline.
