Strategic Sourcing Manager

Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our client account in Nashville, TN. This position requires a good understanding of typical sourcing principles and budgetary management. In addition the position requires the ability to identify potential sourcing opportunities based on requisition data and conversations with site requestors.
Strong negotiations skills are necessary as well as a strong understanding of general accounting, finance, and procurement practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and drive savings at the PO level
- Be able to read and understand Vendor agreements and apply to individual Purchasing Transactions
- Understand and execute against an annual sourcing goal
- Track and report sourcing savings, typically monthly
- Closely support sourcing and Facility Management teams to drive immediate benefits
- Ensure compliance to sourcing, procurement and contracting policies and procedures
- Detailed forecast analysis including Budget versus Actual spending and Forecast verses Actual spending
- Process purchase requisitions
- Special projects and other functions as required by manager or Client with a focus on operational efficiency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent (college degree, preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of sourcing experience, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILTIES
- Ability to build relationships with key site internal and external clients
- Purchase order account coding
- Strong collaboration with Finance team for transactional work
- Understanding of JD Edwards (or similar ERP) purchasing transactions, preferred
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel
