Overall Purpose:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Channel Marketing –
Public Sector role is responsible for the go-to market strategies for the
Public Sector segment billing over $5B of annual revenue. These accounts are
primarily domestic in nature with some global presence. The size and scope of
these customers provide a unique set of complexities that requires this
position to be very aware of Public and Federal Government trends and how they
impact these customers across mission critical applications, of connecting and
protecting their networks, establishing customer reach, website management and
content distribution and all of the current and emerging mobility and Internet of Things (IoT)
needs.
This position is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of new
technologies to establish AT&T as a credible player new fields such as
Network on Demand, Unified Communication and Collaboration, and AT&T
Security services. As one of the market share leaders for this end of the
market the adoption of these services require strategic positioning with each
customer to ensure the migration of legacy services to new technology is done
in a way that continues to deliver the high NPS results currently achieved but
also manages the migration of revenue and cost impact to drive minimal impact
to margins.
This position will drive the new adoption of solutions & services by
solidifying AT&T’s position and involvement industry related events;
customer and analyst interviews and briefings, managing press releases and
customer referrals to reinforce/establish AT&T’s position as a relevant
player in new and emerging technologies.
Additionally this position enables all relevant distribution channels (Direct,
indirect and on-line) with the right messaging, offer and process to drive
sales and growth. Establishing the right training curriculum, sale tools,
differentiated value proposition and leadership engagement to position
AT&T’s value.
