Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for developing and guiding a team of warehouse workers and forklift drivers in successfully shipping coatings safely and effectively to locations throughout the US and internationally.  The incumbent requires practical and theoretical knowledge of shipping functions. S/he should possess excellent organizational skills and functional technical knowledge to solve problems arising out of logistics processes and ability to develop and motivate an efficient team.
 
Responsibilities include activities associated with safe pick, pack, and ship functions. Supervise hourly personnel and shipping functions on 2nd shift.  Responsible for meeting goals to include safety, OTIF, inventory management and the development of the hourly work force. Safely managing product flow in the warehouse is of utmost importance.
The successful candidate will work with the team on improved future state processes.  This position works closely with other departments.  The incumbent will work with the team to execute a safety action plan, train employees, and develop/update standard work procedures & processes on 2nd shift.  The incumbent will assist with writing W/O’s as needed to repair fork trucks, W/H racks, as well as initiate/complete projects to support the team’s improved performance.
 
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or appropriate discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of Warehouse experience required, preferably as part of a multi-shift operation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing plant preferred.
- Hazmat training preferred.
 
Functional and Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of ERP software preferred (Oracle is a plus).
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively without close supervision.
- Ability to communicate and interact at multiple levels.
- Ability to build, develop and manage teams, and effectively resolve conflict.
