Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Incumbent is responsible for proactively ensuring optimum levels of inventory accuracy and availability for raw materials, intermediates and finished goods. The scope includes the Oak Creek Paint Plant as well as remote manufacturing, warehousing, and consignment minor locations. S/he must manage and monitor all factory systems including TANDEM and WITS.
WITS Administration: Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of WITS (Warehouse Inventory Tracking System). WITS scope includes receiving, pre-assembly, batch verification, filling, and shipping at the paint plant. Support will also be expected for other Industrial paint plants.
Physical Inventory : Incumbent will provide major support for successful annual inventory of the Oak Creek paint plant and its associated minor locations.
Development of Self & Others: Develop self and your team by utilizing the Performance Learning Process. Keep abreast of industry developments and trends.
Interact and consult with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Plant Systems, Customer Service, Shipping and Receiving, and Sales personnel to monitor their needs and assist them to maintain the integrity of inventory.
Special Projects: Participate on various teams to enhance plant efficiencies for conversions of products and components, and plant operational teams relating to paint production.
Requires: Successful incumbent must have a minimum of 2 years supply chain experience and a Bachelor Degree. In addition, competence in database management and report generation using tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel are required. S/he must be a self-starter and detail oriented. Other skills required include computer, interpersonal, problem identification and resolution, Lean manufacturing, adaptability/flexibility, time management, organizational, and oral/written communication skills.
Preferred: A Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or Accounting degree is highly desirable. APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification in CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management). Knowledge of Tandem and WITS.
