Macy’s is seeking a Developer for his IT Coop program This position includes designing , programing and supporting applications for Macy’s Store Planning, Architecture, Construction and Engineering Department (SPACE) .
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include:
Possessing understanding in one or two programming languages, tools and technologies, with the ability to develop applications.
Applies technical knowledge under guidance, supervision and well-defined work direction
Develop a general understanding of the organization.
Analyzes a chain of events and applies technical knowledge following established procedures and/or detailed specifications.
Can code from specifications, under guidance.
Can debug simple programs where the problem is readily identifiable.
Operates effectively as part of a larger team and in managing own work.
Will be assigned tasks of limited duration and complexity
Will assist with data mining and reporting.
Skill Summary:
Knowledge of Java, Visual Basic or comparable language used to manage and design software applications
Should have the ability to manage the data and applications using SQL Sever
Translate user requirements and assist in the design and development of system solutions that support business goals and user needs
Provide technical expertise, support and guidance to system end-users.
Ability to read, write and interpret instruction documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Must be able to work independently. Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
Macy’s, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the Director of Store Planning position which will be located in New York. This person will be the liaison between the Merchant Team, the Vendor community, and Macy’s Store Planning, Design and Construction teams. The Director will plan, develop, approve, execute, communicate and manage all aspects of Vendor/GMM projects.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Must be in Junior or Senior year of college.
