Staff Accountant – Job Description
 
Position Description:  Handles various aspects of accounting for all Bell Tennessee companies
Position Summary:
  • As an integral part of the Accounting team, position will handle complex accounting issues, assist with month-end accounting close process, but also use accounting knowledge and training to assist with the reconciliation of intercompany payables and receivables.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Managing and/or Performing All aspects of intercompany payables
    • Account reconciliations
    • Net I/D
    • Confirmations
  • Managing all aspects of Trade Accounts Payable
    • Aging of Payables
    • Clearing of Aged Purchase receipt Accruals
    • Reconciliation of Prepaid Accounts
    • Reporting to Management and others on A/P issues
    • Account Reconciliations for all Payable related accounts
    • Posting Expense reports via Concur.
  • Completing Various reports to management regarding accounting and account reconciliation
  • Working with Auditors both internal and external to provide requested data accurately and timely
  • Creating and entering various Journal Entries
  • Preparing Various Account Reconciliations
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Other Duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in accounting
  • Strong financial accounting background
  • Strong Analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, and Access.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with all levels of management
