Senior-RAN Engineer responsibilities include:

 

  • Senior individual contributor engineer with strong technical skills. 
  •  Provide high quality Radio Access Network designs, including UMTS, LTE and CRAN network design, cell site equipment layout and configurations, radio propagation modeling and prediction, interference analysis, frequency coordination, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and drive test performance analysis.
  • Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators. 
  • Act as subject matter expert on ATT technologies, RF Safety and compliances.

Principal Functional Skills / Competencies associated with this Title:

 

  • Senior level technical expertise with min. 8  years of Radio Network Design and/or Optimization

  • Ability to demonstrate deep technical knowledge in Radio Access Network, cell sites equipment and complex antenna configurations.

  • Thorough understanding of RF propagation, UMTS/LTE/CRAN architecture and 3GPP standard

  • Thorough understanding of spectrum and frequency planning, propagation modeling techniques and the use of RF Prediction tools

  • Experience with SQL and Visual Basic Database is recommended

  • Strong leadership skills and have the ability to coach and supervise other engineers

  • Ability to work with various departments and vendors effectively
