Aircraft Mechanic

Bell Helicopter - Bristol, Tennessee

Summary of responsibilities:


• Install Bell, AA and other aftermarket kits
• Perform major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structure, including sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications.
• Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations
• Other tasks as assigned

Will assist with line crew duties as needed

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


Position requirements:


• Minimum 6 months experience with aircraft sheetmetal, composite repairs or mechanical experience required. A skills test will be administered during the interview process.Additional skills and experience may qualify candidate for a higher pay grade
• FAA Airframe license preferred.

• Ability to read and understand Installation Instructions, Maintenance Manuals and Blue Prints. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to measure, drill and modify aircraft structures without causing damage to structure or underlying components
• Read, write, speak and understand English (FAA Requirement)
• Ability to stand and work from ladders for extended periods. Able to lift 50 lbs frequently
• Must work as a team member to ensure quality and timely completions of aircraft to meet schedule.
• Must work overtime as required
• Must purchase or own tools required for the jobs assigned
