*Analysis of intransit levels to identify root cause of aging.
*Seek out opportunities for improvements and support implementation to reduce intransit over 60 days .
*Collaboration with A/P processing on aged intransit improvements
*Collaborate with internal contacts and vendors on root cause resolution of vendor issues
* Prepare internal and external reporting, pulling data from multiple systems; validate data and analyze trends.
*Communicate regularly with divisional inventory groups and facilitate meetings with leadership as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based out of Progress Place.
Essential Functions:
• Research of Intransit data and establish ongoing processes or controls to reduce volume of aging receipts.
• Initiate and facilitate partnership with A/P processing team to create, enhance or implement more efficient methods for all aspects of the department
• Collaboration with Internal and External contacts on Issue resolution and creation of reporting metrics
• Ongoing verbal and written communication with vendors, divisional contacts and other A/P areas.
• Support Invoice Processing and Special Processing within the IP area as needed
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• High level understanding of merchant, logistics, accounting and vendor roles.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Reasoning Ability:
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to solve problems in new ways
Physical Demands:
• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
• May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Other Skills:
• Strong MS Excel or other analytical tools experience required.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Work Hours:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
