Key Responsibilities
 
The Planning and Inventory Management Analyst is responsible for monthly SmartOps safety stock calculations and updates, inventory tracking, and SKU lifecycle management. The Planning and inventory Management Analyst will also be responsible for developing an advanced S&OP process and facilitate monthly meetings with Marketing and Finance to support the North American Automotive Refinish business.
  • Supports the Refinish business by leveraging industry best practices to enhance service rates through inventory optimization initiatives, accurate product forecasting, and a well-defined replenishment strategy.
  • Recommends strategic safety stocking levels and routings for products by comparing their inventory levels, sales trends, and ordering patterns, ensuring that inventory assets are leveraged properly.
  • Monitors inventory levels by SKU at the warehouse level to ensure adequate supply and identify risk from excess inventory.
  • Adjusts inventory policies as necessary, to keep stock out rates to a minimum.
  • Fosters consensus and collaboration between Product Managers and Planning teams.
  • Maintains and develops various databases and workbooks to provide information to support job objectives.
  • Works closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to develop a working knowledge of their supply chain needs.
  • Supports Production Planning & Scheduling function by reviewing MPS planned replenishment for all of the manufacturing plants in Delaware.
  • Utilizes regular scheduling routines to identify and manage issues with capacity constraints.
  • Identifies and leads efforts to drive continuous improvement efforts in areas related to job function.
Experience and Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain or technical field is required.
  • APICS certification a plus; commitment to obtain APICS certification is needed in the absence of a current certification.
  • Prior Supply Chain experience is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with SBU leadership regarding supply chain issues, options, and reactions.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Previous Access experience preferred
