This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new multi-disciplined team of experienced individuals who will be driving opportunity identification and solution design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics across the North America region. The team will be responsible for both analytics strategy and project-based solutions, focusing on the company’s most critical business areas and working closely with the Enterprise Technology team.
The Analytics Architect will be responsible for leading opportunity identification and analysis, problem definition, and project planning, and overseeing the development and deployment of advanced analytic tools and methods.
Responsibilities will vary depending upon level and will include some or all of the following:
Leading or contributing to the definition of an overarching analytics strategy and architecture that will align analytics investments with the highest impact areas, while producing a suite of complementary models, tools, and technologies Leading cross-functional teams to discover and develop actionable, high-impact data analytics need and opportunity statements in a variety of core business areas
Developing industry leading solutions including: • Working with varied stakeholder groups, including global and pan regional, to ensure alignment around objectives, priorities, resourcing, schedules, and ownership • Working with business domain, operation research, and data experts to identify detailed data needs, sources, and structure to support solution development • Creating requirements, specifications, and business processes documentation • Assessing the current analytic tool implementations and architectures, reviewing for gaps against business needs and industry best practices • Determining solution approaches, including creative data acquisition strategies • Determining business process design and re-engineering impacts • Providing oversight to data analytic activities across the organization to ensure alignment of priorities and coordination of inter-related projects and resources, and ensuring consistency and leverage across technologies, data sources, and analytic models • Effectively communicating analyses, recommendations, status, and results to business management and executives in business terms
Leading POCs to create break through solutions, performing exploratory and targeted data analyses to drive iterative learnings
Qualifications Requirements: will vary depending upon level and will include some or all of the following:Business Acumen:
Strong track record in delivering business enabling solutions in a complex systems environment
• Ability to determine high impact areas for the company with regards to application of analytic methods, and translation into actionable strategy • Ability to create structured problem statements and conceptualize potential solutions from rough client specifications and information • Working knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling concepts and disciplines • Detailed knowledge of core business processes, with a strong understanding of decision processes and financial models • Must be able to provide the program management leadership for the cross-functional team
Technical expertise:
The North America Technology Analytics Architect must have familiarity with the following: • 11 Years Professional Experience • Analyzing source system data and data flows, data mining and natural language processing • Manipulating data from varying sources to highlight patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends • Software design & development • 5 years or more experience in with Cloud analytics tools such as Redshift, Exosol, or Snowflake. • 5 years or more experience in Analytic tools such as SAS, R, SPSS, Tableau, and Cognos • 5 years or more experience Hadoop frameworks such as Hive, Cloudera, and Pig • Relational Databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server
Additional Qualifications: • A flexible approach that allows for producing results at varying levels of precision • Strong listening and communications skills, with ability to clearly and concisely explain complex problems and technologies to non-expert and executive audiences • Evidence of being able to transfer technology solutions to business stakeholders for successful adoption and value realization • Highly collaborative work style, yet must demonstrate ability to provide leadership to a cross-functional team, leveraging strong project management skills
Education Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience in a technical or quantitative field; Masters or MBA degree a plus. Employment experience in a Fortune 100 company is a plus.
