University Relations Manager

As our University Relations Manager, you'll play an essential role in Nike’s University Relations and collegiate recruitment master plan to attract and hire top, diverse university talent and to establish NIKE as the employer of choice on college campuses. The primary areas of focus for the University Relations Manager are to (1) Own a premier university campus strategy end-to-end (2) Guide relationships with target schools and diversity partners, and (3) Lead the University Relations recruitment team to implement the campus strategy and acquire Intern and Full-Time university talent. In this role, the University Relations Manager will be a member of the Global Talent Acquisition team, and will be an integral part of the overall success of the University Relations strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Create a campus strategy and build talent pipelines at target schools to attract and hire diverse university talent of emerging leaders across Nike’s business enterprise (Undergraduate and Graduate/MBA)
• Create an annual calendar of campus recruitment events and oversee all logistical coordination and implementation through planning, resource requirements, needs assessment, and budget review
• Guide Recruiters and Coordinators to implement the campus recruitment strategy and serve as a coach to ensure team is accountable and equipped to deliver top, diverse candidates with a quality candidate experience
• Relationship ownership of target schools (career centers, professors, faculty, student organizations), diversity partnerships, and external vendors to establish Nike as a partner of choice for prospective talent
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, HR partners and business functions to strengthen University Relations recruitment initiatives
• Conduct market research to ensure target schools and academic programs are recommended and aligned to meet the organization’s university talent needs and business capabilities
• Establish campus brand awareness and engagement that is a catalyst to lead students to the choice of Nike as the employer of choice
• Track/Report university relations and recruitment analytics to achieve goals and determine effectiveness of current and future strategy – with the use of data resources and dashboards


Required:
• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in University Relations in a large company, including experience shaping and guiding campus recruitment strategies, collegiate recruiting at both the Undergraduate and Graduate (MBA) levels
• Prior Talent Acquisition management experience - Leading Recruiters and Coordinators, and the full life-cycle recruitment process
• Demonstrated ability to create external relationships and credibility, as well as internal influence cross-functionally with Human Resources (HR) partners, Hiring Managers, and core business teams
• Experience creating and delivering on-campus communication materials and representing a corporate brand for the purposes of developing strong relationships with universities and students
• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan brand events, guide multiple projects and competing priorities, while maintaining flexibility to shift priorities as needed to meet business goals
• Ability to travel up to 30% during the peak recruitment season

Preferred:
• Masters degree a plus
• Ability to present to all levels of management and academia with excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Prior experience working in applicant tracking systems and candidate relationship management tools
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
