Supervises the Adrian production facility 3rd shift to ensure a safe, effective and efficient operation. Integrate all production, maintenance and supply chain activities of the departments, which include raw material procurement and production scheduling, preassembly through finished goods shipment to meet customer requirements within budget/people constraints. Key requirements include but not limited to:
1. Provides, maintains and promotes a work environment free from accidents and ensures the safety and well-being of associates and the community through effective training, housekeeping and 5S programs, and compliance with applicable corporate policies and government regulations.
2. Promote the use of Quality Tool techniques such as BPI and Lean methodologies. Proactive use of the process models in planning in order to eliminate abnormalities, understand and meet customer requirements by all team members and contribute to continuous quality improvements. Reactive root cause and corrective actions methodologies must be used to improve manufacturing reliability and product consistency.
3. Supervise the shift to ensure on time deliveries to eliminate late orders. Build relationships with key internal and external customers to effectively answer an inquiry regarding a product.
4. Manage available resources for maximum efficiency and productivity to meet budget requirements for respective product line production operations.
5. Maintain working relationships at all organizational levels and participate in the execution and administration of established company, group and plant human resource programs and policies in an objective and consistent manner, including equal opportunity for all employees and involvement/Participative management procedures and techniques.
6. Assist in the development of a flexible, well-trained and motivated work force that operates as a team to safely and efficiently manufacture products that meet customer requirements.
7. Maintain an image for the plant, both internally and externally, of a dynamic, progressive, professionally managed and ethical global organization and business.
8. Continue personal growth and development through involvement in appropriate on and off the job activities.
9. Must keep up-to-date on the new technology and new products that are ever changing.
10. Manage special projects to timelines and budgets
Education & Experience Necessary
-
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or technical field with 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in production supervision with increasing responsibilities.

This position demands substantial leadership and human relations skills as well as sufficient ability in production and technical know‑how to direct the complexities that result from pooling material, manpower and equipment to efficiently produce a quality product.

Must be able to effectively interact with all levels in the organization.
