Position Summary:

ROLE OBJECTIVES

  • Works as part of the Project Management Organization, assisting with the development of Construction ROMs and detailed Construction Cost Estimates in support of a variety of projects for office renovation and computing labs
  • Provide superior client service and experience
  • Drive innovation through the entire Construction Cost Estimating process
  • Meet assigned SLA targets
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Developing construction cost estimates for office renovation and computing labs by reviewing scope information with JLL PM and client
  • Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
  • Assist with value engineering to reduce the cost of construction with no impact to the final project
  • Managing historical cost benchmark pricing for all client construction projects
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Leveraging JLL platform for quarterly updates on key construction indices by location
  • Providing support during general contractor and architect sourcing events assisting with the validation of pricing, while also participating in both the general contractor and architect interviews
  • Develop cost per square foot pricing by client project type
  • Enhance overall Cost Estimate service delivery by process optimization and innovation
  • Prioritize requests to meet or exceed the customers expectation
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or Construction Management;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Construction Cost Estimator; Experience in construction management or real estate preferred
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings, electrical, furniture, and space planning concepts
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills interacting with cross functional team members, architects, general contractors, client’s representatives, and JLL team members
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to support or lead business development initiatives as assigned or requested
  • Proficient in the use of  Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint, RS Means, and BlueBeam
