Position Summary:

GM Pontiac Engineering Center- Business Process Manager - Fuel Manager
The role of the Fuel Manager is to ensure the proper operation of fuel equipment, systems and processes to support the Pontiac Engineering Center Labs The Fuel Manager must lead individuals and teams to provide high level service delivery to the client. The Fuel Manager reports to the Operations Manager.
 
Education/Experience
 

 

  • Associates or Bachelor degree Preferred and/or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years industry experience required
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Must have Extensive Knowledge on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access)
 
Supervisor Responsibilities for the following Support Personnel

 
  • Fuels Assistant
  • JLL UAW Trades – Electrician, HVAC, and Helper
 
Management Responsibilities for Development & Oversight of the following:

 
  • Tank Farm Operations, Reporting, Maintenance, and Repair
    • Fuel Specific Spare Parts and Specialty Tools
    • Diagnosis and Repair of all Fuel Equipment
    • Routine and Regulatory Preventative Maintenance
  • Fuel Inventory
    • Bulk
    • Drum
  • Fuel Ordering and logistics
  • Maintain Standardized Work documents.
  • Fuel Data Collection
    • Usage data
    • Fuel Chemistry Data
    • Reoccurring and Spot Check Sample Analysis
  • Support Program Review Process
  • Collaborate with GM Fuels Group and Lab Production Teams
  • Support GMS and BPD process
  • Weekend and Shutdown Planning
 
Understanding of Building Systems

 
  • Building Management Systems
  • Basic understanding of the following systems
    • HVAC
    • Gas Detection
    • Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
 
 
Environmental Awareness

 
  • Waste Removal
  • OSHA, State, and Local Regulatory Compliance
