PURPOSE OF JOB
The Senior Manager, Media position leads and develops the strategy, execution and analysis of media campaigns that build the Staples brand while driving profit and sales. Ownership of comms planning is a key function of this role and guiding the team of direct reports. In partnership with external agencies, Customer Insights and digital media teammates, the development of fully integrated plans that span the customer journey will be key for delivering positive results.
There is supervision of the team that owns planning and buying responsibilities for all offline media vehicles, including national and local video and audio, out-of-home and print. Management of external agencies is also a component of the role.
Innovation is key to constantly explore, test and roll out new media opportunities to help improve Staples ROI and brand metrics. Collaboration across internal business partners and external agencies will be priority for staying current on media trends and the changing attitudes and behaviors of all our target segments. Budget management responsibility for managing an advertising budget in excess of $100MM.
The position oversees the growth and development of a 2-person team and reports into the Director, Media & Marketing Operations.
