As the Business
Operations Manager for the Nike Distribution COE (ND COE), you will support the
COE’s mission of enabling speed, innovation, increased capacity, flexibility
and productivity across Nike’s DCs. The Business Operations Manager provides
insightful review, perspective, and direction on the strategy and operating
performance of the ND COE. You will be responsible for ensuring that the ND COE
excels in running our organization as an effective function. You will have
ultimate accountability for the way our strategic planning, budgeting
(departmental opex) forecasting, portfolio management and internal processes
operate. You are focused on delivering insights and impact throughout the work
and is an expert in business strategy, portfolio management and operations,
analytical and strategic, yet highly pragmatic and results-oriented.
In this role you
will:
· Report to and work with the Nike Distribution COE Value Chain Director
to achieve internal operational excellence in the areas of strategic planning,
budgeting, forecasting, and resourcing.
· Own and drive the ND COE strategic planning process, aligning of the
functional strategies to Global Fulfillment, Global Supply Chain and Corporate Strategic plans (e.g. quarterly
strategic calendar, business plans, monthly A3 reviews)
· Report to and partners with the Nike Distribution COE Value Chain
Director to influence the COE’s functional and technical leadership to shape
and drive the organization’s strategic direction.
· Develop and manage cross functional procedures and timelines for the
department and department’s leadership. Examples may include standard process for
status reporting, travel planning, on-boarding and off-boarding, training, and
organizational surveys.
· Drives the short and long-range strategic and business planning
processes from a financial and resource perspective for the ND COE (e.g. target
setting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and financial planning and risk
mitigation).
· Partners with Finance on the financial analysis of the budget, the
forecast, and reporting actuals of operating and capital spending and
delivering financial recommendations to the ND COE Leads
· Manage the ND COE Portfolio and governance, including the management of
the program schedule, budget, and the scope change control. Develop program
estimates, staffing models, phase timelines, and required delivery model.
· Maintain the Risks process adherence, monitor the SharePoint
documentation, and review risks for feedback
