Merchandise Manager, Finish Line Apparel/Equipment

Nike - Portland, OR

Become a Part of the Nike Team

Nike does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. We’re a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries, and push out the edges of what can be. We’re looking for people who can grow, think, dream and create. We thrive in a culture that embraces diversity and rewards imagination. We seek achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about bringing what you have to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

As Marketplace Merchandise Manager, you will be a fundamental stakeholder in ensuring that seasonal stories & initiatives come to life in one of Nike’s key global accounts.  Your role will consist of building both short & long term strategic frameworks in concert with critical category & sales partners in North America.  The goal of the work is to…

-        Create compelling assortments & stories at retail

-        Continue to foster a deeper connection with the consumer

-        Influence both geography & global partners to build consumer relevant product & assortments that drive profitable revenue growth for both the account & Nike North America.

You will leverage consumer focused assortments in order to align with the global vision while driving a firm segmentation/differentiation strategy in the mall in cooperation with your channel counterparts.  The role will require a strong retail math background, as financials will be a critical component in building profitable assortments, increasing SKU productivity and driving top line revenue growth.  In addition to the science, you will be responsible for having a finger on the pulse of the consumer in order to anticipate marketplace shifts and ensuring the ability to react quickly.  As the Merchandising Manager, you will be tasked with identifying key opportunities not only post booking deadlines but also after the assortments have landed at retail.  This hindsight will be leveraged in order to influence creating the future.  In addition, you will not only clearly communicate the Nike brand vision and assortment strategies to the retailer, but you will also work back with cross-functional partners upstream in order to define the consumer needs of the future downstream.
