Senior Financial Analyst, Digital SG&A – North America Direct to Consumer

As our Senior Financial Analyst – Digital SG&A you will be leading the Investment offense for the fast paced Nike.com business. You will partner across the North America DTC finance & business teams to pull together and present financial results and the story behind the numbers to the leadership team. You will also help in leading the long term planning and budgeting processes to ensure that NADTC’s operating model is in line with total North America and Nike Inc.’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute timely and insightful financial analysis, measuring progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast.  Actively interpret and review financial results with the NADTC CFO and the leadership team including trends/issues and opportunities to drive actionable results
  • Provide clear communication and direction on deliverables and deadlines to the dimension finance teams, creating templates to gather information in a consistent manner when necessary
  • Partner with the North America business planning team to set revenue, margin, and SG&A targets for the dimensions
  • Coordinate and assist in leading monthly forecast and close meetings; prepare forecast and close “packages” that provide the NADTC CFO a clear view into variances and their drivers vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Deliver presentational reporting using powerpoint with an emphasis on telling the “story” behind the numbers
  • Consolidate risks and opportunities across the dimensions and communicate them to NADTC and global leadership
  • Drive consistency and ensure that best practices are in place across the dimensions for all common processes including long range planning, budget, forecast, and close
  • Review reporting and presentations for accuracy and ensure that story lines are clear and consistent with strategic priorities

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 4 years' experience in financial reporting, financial planning, strategic planning and annual budgeting
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is required; experience with SAP (BW, ECCS) is preferred
  • Ability to pass a 7 year background check
  • Attention to detail in the development of management quality reporting and analytics for executive-level personnel
  • Ability to articulate financial concepts to both finance and non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with and influence all levels of management
  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic business along with the passion and energy to drive results
  • Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifies opportunities and provides creative solutions
  • Team player with a positive attitude - open to learning other areas of the business and sharing team responsibilities
