Nike Supply Chain
experts ensure that every year 900 million pieces of footwear, apparel and
equipment arrive at the right destination on time. That’s no easy task. The
complex process involves more than 50 distribution centers, a network of
thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores around the world.
Supply Chain professionals constantly push for ways to make Nike’s supply chain
faster, more efficient and more responsive to Nike’s always-changing consumer
needs.
As a project manager in the North
American Supply Chain, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing the
execution of improvement initiatives for multiple distribution centers in the
Memphis area.
Drive various
improvement initiatives from problem definition to implementation completion.
Support operations by understanding root causes and
defining the best solution for various warehouse and distribution
problems.
Define success and
delivery criteria, and monitor and report results against the criteria set.
Manage project risk, budget, and schedule to ensure
completion on time and with ROI.
Support PMO director
in defining, implementing, and maintaining program management strategies,
procedures, processes and methodologies.
Support the management
team in driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Foster collaboration,
strategic alignment and integrated planning and execution across different functions
in a matrix organization.
Facilitate discussions
on complex topics to drive clarity and understanding among a diverse set of
stakeholders.
To make it clear, we are not looking
for just anyone. We are looking for someone special, someone who had these experiences
and clearly demonstrated these skills:
Bachelor or Master’s
degree and minimum of five years relevant work experience.
Strong continuous improvement
capabilities, preferably Six Sigma Black Belt certified; experience with LEAN
is a plus.
Strong Project Management Acumen, with excellent grasp of Program
Management Methodologies including project risk management.
Strong leadership
skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with
stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a
fast-paced environment, and anticipate the needs of a changing landscape.
Capacity to
anticipate, comprehend and manage project dependencies across other initiatives
in the network.
Good Change Management
/ Transition skills.
Knowledge of supply
chain operations and distribution center practices. Experience with ERP systems
a plus.
Ability to articulate,
drive, and ensure process standardization and adoption of best practices.
Full command of
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project Server, and Microsoft
SharePoint.
