MISSION:

The Brand Designer executes the creative vision for category and cross-category Brand initiatives through Brand Design in a way that supports premium Nike Brand consumer experiences, the Nike Brand Ethos and Maxims.  They elevate the consumer brand experience through superior brand appearance of product, communications, collateral materials, digital and retail.

 
FOCUS:

Focuses on the consumer facing Brand experience of product, communication, digital, retail and collateral materials. Designs and directs all aspects of the look and feel of Brand experiences at all end-in-mind consumer touch points in partnership with Brand Marketing, Categories, and Global Design. Acts as a creative shepherd of the Nike Brand.

 
ACCOUNTABILITES:

  • Under the direction of a Design Director utilizes advanced design skills to create original design solutions for 2D and 3D executions for consumer experiences: graphics, retail, digital.
  • Communicates and presents design concepts to team/leader/director.
  • Creates presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Works with Brand Design leadership and Brand Marketing partners to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, functional needs (digital, retail, brand comms.) and overall program needs. 
  • Produces directives and electronic files for production purposes. 
  • Actively gains knowledge and experience regarding Nike’s design ethos, the Nike matrix, products, and processes. Gains knowledge of current trends in consumer experience and technology and other related design influencers. 
  • Responsible for small projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic, Architectural or Industrial Design, with 5 years of progressive technically sophisticated design experience. 
  • Proven ability to apply and perform design skills, including concepting, drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, texture, special design in scale and visual presentation.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to current trends in color, design, art, photography and experience design and their application to the athletic industry.
  • Demonstrated high level expertise using computer design applications
  • including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations. 
  • Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses. 
  • Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
