PRIMARY FUNCTION
Apply business acumen, problem solving, technical oversight and deep quantitative / analytical skills to build a solution that delivers operational accuracy to Target’s logistics store operations.
The primary responsibilities include; critically evaluating existing business processes by applying a combination of lean, six-sigma and analytical tools, conducting exploratory data analysis to validate operational hypotheses and draw inferences, design analytical solutions that measure the efficiency and impact of operational changes to logistics processes, define KPIs that track the health of operations and design reporting that supports business ownership in stores |

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Four year college degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) with 5 years of work experience
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Conversant with exploratory analysis techniques
· Conversant with relational databases
· SQL Knowledge
· Ability to query and format data as required for analysis
· Familiar with data visualization tools and techniques
· Strong planning, organizational and implementation skills
· Experience with data visualization in Excel, Tableau or Domo
· Excellent communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
· Ability to take initiative and work independently
· Ability to travel as required
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
· One to two years of Stores, Finance, MP or Logistics experience
· Previous experience in end-user computing environments
· Six Sigma/Lean experience
· Tableau or Domo knowledge
· Exposure to statistical or analytical tools like SAS, R, and Python |
