Key Responsibilities
 
To deliver specific sales and service provision targets in line with Regional, Zone and National targets, develop and manage the Territory base and provide information and market data to ensure effective delivery of the overall business targets.
 
1. To achieve annual sales plans for sales growth and key sales objectives via a dual brand
    proposition and manage costs, receivables and expenses within required targets.
 
2. Develop understanding and expertise within customer base and the regional team of the
    benefits and advantages of business programs offered by PPG Refinish.
 
3. Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of bodyshop operations and be able to influence
    customers at the end user and influencer level to support achievement of strategic goals with
    end users, influencers, OE's and insurance companies.
 
4. Develop and utilize an industry network to ensure all opportunities to broaden and develop
    business opportunities for the PPG group are maximized.
 
5. Build knowledge through active participation and learning from Regional team members and
    pass on skill and knowledge to new and less experienced team members.
 
6. Actively communicate market and competitor knowledge to the appropriate members of the
    sales programs or marketing teams so the trends, opportunities and threats can be identified
    and quickly acted upon.
 
7. Manage all activities in compliance with PPG blue print objectives, EHS goals, Quality, 
    business conduct and code of ethics policies.
 
8. Major marketing area for this territory is Oklahoma and North Texas.
 
9. Travel 50%
 
 
Experience and Education
Educational or Required Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Minimum 5 years proven track record in growing sales, with at least 3 in Refinish or related environment, with experience and aptitude for consultative selling.
 
Functional and Technical Skills
Ability to operate and communicate effectively with all customers from senior management through to bodyshop technicians. Financial analysis skills, ability to understand balance sheets and business management propositions. Excellent communications skills - in writing, IT presentations, public speaking and one-to-one negotiations. Strong personal motivation, willingness to learn and adapt to different business priorities. Clean driving record. Travel predominantly within defined territory.
