The Professional Apprentice® position is located in downtown Cleveland at our Corporate Headquarters. Position requires at least a full year enlistment and up to 28 hours per week with flexibility in work schedule.

The IT Portfolio Analyst Professional Apprentice® is an exciting role that has exposure to all projects across the Internet Services IT organization. This position works directly with the Project Managers, Business Relationship Managers, various levels of management, and partnering in order to understand business problems and opportunities.


Essential Functions

Strategy and Planning
• Help analyze, document, and recommend improvements to existing workflows, processes, and standards.
• Assist in creating presentations to present information to project participants and project stakeholders.

Acquisition and Deployment
• Assist in providing technical guidance, support, and training for application development projects.
• Interact with clients and business users to gather business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with customers and IT team in planning, developing, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications.
• Help support users of the enterprise work tracking and reporting tools.

Operational Management
• Learn and create reports and dashboards.
• Assist in creating, reviewing, and editing documentation for proposals and processes.
• Learn how to use existing systems to track and manage work requests.
• Schedule meetings for participants.
• Schedule and acquire resources needed for meetings.
• Create/distribute meeting minutes as needed.

Incidental Functions
• Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
• Research or prototype new tools and/or technologies.
• Assist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the teamwork.
• Attend meetings as required.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
• Currently enrolled in college degree program and actively working toward an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in an IT or Business related field.
• Graduation date on/or after May 2018.

Knowledge & Experience
• Familiarity with Microfsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Visio and flowcharting skills a plus.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle a plus.
• Interest in working with customers to learn how to build and formulate requirements
