Position Responsibilities:

The Diversified Brands Research & Development Organization is looking for high-caliber, passionate and engaging students for R&D internships. The R&D intern will be working alongside a Chemist or Engineer in a laboratory setting working on short and long term projects related to product development of maintenance  on existing product lines.

Additional Responsibilities include:

Formulation and development of new and/or improved paint & chemical products

Work with manufacturing, marketing, purchasing, sales, and regulatory departments to provide consistent quality formulations

 

Experience Required:

Excellent planning & organization skills, excellent communication skills (written & verbal), diverse problem solving ability and proper utilization of formulation tools and laboratory equipment

Ideal candidate would be a motivated self starter with high energy and strong sense of urgency while having the ability to effectively handle multiple projects

Strong Safety Focus

Current local college student at the sophomore or junior level

Grade point average of 3.0 or higher

Ability to work an average of 20 hours / week with a flexible schedule based around the candidates' school schedule and the opportunity to work more hours during the summer

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing a degree in Science, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
