Expert Program Manager (TechOps)

We are looking for an Expert Program Manager – Nike Technology who thrives in working with multiple teams, new technology, and implementing dynamic infrastructure platform environments. This role is very broad in its responsibilities. You will engage engineering teams, define infrastructure and operations specifications, guide communications, service-levels, and reporting – just to name a few. You'll have the opportunity to work together with truly high performing individuals including business partners, functions, and regions - bringing them together to create a collaborative, creative, and next-level team.
  • Ability to collaborate with sponsors and business partners to create strategic vision and roadmaps
  • Ownership of large project teams that range from product managers and analysts to developers, IT, and QA engineers
  • Rigorous scheduling at the task level, with overall accountability at the program level
  • Budget ownership – including initial estimation, tracking of actuals, and understanding the deviations
  • Resource plan development, coordinating/on-boarding of project resources, creation and implementation of communication plans, defining and executing risk management plans
  • Care for changes against project schedule, scope and cost, as well as lead the assessment of impact on the larger portfolio of projects
  • Contract and vendor management: Create partnerships across organizational, departmental, and geographical boundaries
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field; 2 years’ additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree acceptable 
  • 7 years' professional experience with at least 3 years' in infrastructure program ownership
  • Experience delivering large infrastructure programs. Understanding or experience with the following: basic networking concepts, virtualization, enterprise storage solutions, database concepts, and web applications concepts
  • Demonstrated experience with business process improvement methods (e.g. Lean)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SCRUM and SCRUM processes, including but not limited to facilitating scrum planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and removing escalation for the team. Scrum Master Certification a PLUS!
  • PMP training. PMP certification a PLUS!
