As our Senior
Lean Coach, you’ll successfully execute / apply lean thinking, tools
and techniques within cross‐functional business processes to build lean muscle, problem‐solving capability and to deliver results by:
Supporting and developing Lean
Leadership thinking with
cross‐functional leaders, managers, Lean Coaches and kaizen
event participants.
Actively lead crossfunctional teams and provide
individual contributions with more complex kaizen efforts to reduce
defects, improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost, improve
cycle time, eliminate, reduce/eliminate rework, etc. to achieve stability
and create flow within business processes.
Providing a standard framework
for kaizen events owning
the execution of that framework, and teaching others how to apply
that framework and to then ensure that business teams are sustaining
the gainsachieved during these events.
Manage lean resources and cross‐functional teams to deliver business improvements on Nike’s key
strategic enablers.
Mentoring, teaching and
developing Lean Coaches and kaizen teams
on tools, concepts and problem solving methodologies. Provide technical
expertise as needed.
Capturing and communicating
results. Work with finance and other
members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the
financial benefit of multiple kaizen events.
Improving and standardizing
best practices of lean
tools and concepts within and across the Nike Lean Network
Bachelor's Degree in a
technical or business major.
6 years of full‐time
Lean experience with demonstrated expertise in advanced lean principles
and hands‐on experience running kaizen events on multiple complex
cross‐functional business processes.
Advanced level knowledge of
lean concepts, principles and tools
Record of effectively engaging
and influencing midlevel leadership and teams.
Candidate must possess a
personal portfolio of relevant and current improvements in operational and
administrative settings achieved through the application of lean
principles and tools.
Recent experience running
multiple cross‐functional six sigma and/or kaizen events in a variety
of areas to achieve stability and create flow within cross‐functional business processes.
Demonstrated ability to work
well with employees at all levels – from hourly associates to senior
leadership.
Proven ability to effectively
lead highly cross‐functional teams in a matrix business environment.
Demonstrated ability to
effectively use financial measurements and key performance indicators to
assess and manage cross‐functional
business processes.
