As the Senior Director of Quality Engineering your primary responsibility will be to develop the vision, strategy, and team for a Quality Center of Excellence while leading the existing Quality organization. The Leader will drive toward further test automation and develop an integrated testing strategy in partnership with Architecture and Application Engineering leaders. You will lead teams which execute tests in all phases of the SDLC for mobile, web technologies, some hosted in the cloud and some hosted on prem. This position requires a self-motivated, influential, dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills. In addition, this position requires someone who can coordinate teams of manual as well as automated testers, and can work in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities
· Lead the Quality Engineering organization for Consumer Digital Technology
· Build Center of Excellence Quality team
· Develops vision, strategy and execution plan
· Drive quality standards and consistency across engineering teams
· Drive toward further automation
· Leads team to manage/implement automated tests in Java
· Ensure teams architect & deliver world class testing solutions
· Develop plan and actions needed to address quality threats and opportunities
· Analyzes and monitor quality metrics for responsible projects including the cost of poor quality
· Establishes nonconformance and corrective action guidelines

· BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, MS or PhD preferred.
· 10 years in senior leadership roles
· 10 years in quality roles
· 10 years of development and/or test automation experience. Experience in network programming and/or developing/designing large software systems.
· Proven track record of High-Profile communication written and verbal
· Has bias for action and a desire for measurable results
· Demonstration of strong influencing skills
· Ability to drive and support automation test strategy implementation
· Experience growing quality capability – with direct reports, peers, and matrix direct reports
· Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people and across an organization
· Commitment to delivering great software and releasing it quickly, efficiently and with increasing quality
· Strong experience in integrated, end to end systems and testing methodologies
· Understanding and experience driving QE excellence in mobile space (IOS, Android)
· Well versed in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
· Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript. Good scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Python, Groovy, Shell)
· Hands-on experience with Cloud (Public Cloud specific – AWS experience a PLUS)
· Understanding of REST and RESTful services
· Highly proficient in UNIX / Linux / Windows environments
· Solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design preferred
· Proficient in refactoring, test automation, emergent design, testable and modular code, build infrastructure, test-driven development
· Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation
