Sr HR Specialist | Distribution HQ

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of an innovative team working toward visionary goals.  As a Senior Human Resources Specialist, you will take the lead as you:
  • Support the Supply Chain HR Director Team and HR Leadership Teams in Distribution facilities all over the United States from Target HQ in Minneapolis. Create a healthy team culture and teamwork environment by collaborating to drive results and developing team connections through engagement activities.
  • You will be the first point of contact for the HR Teams you support and HQ HR client groups and will quickly problem solve issues, bring forth ideas/resolutions and ensure team member questions are handled in a timely manner. 
  • Lead the staffing and talent management process by coordinating with HR for HR, remote field teams, and VP admins regarding Talent Movement, including: interviews, job offers, updating succession and development plans, relocations, organizational change announcements, onboarding/training plans, leaves of absence, payroll issues, terminations and separation agreements
  • Plan and execute HR cyclical processes while innovating and streamlining for process improvement through: Talent and Culture Routines, Career Planning, Annual Review Processes, Best Team Survey, Nomination Courses, Development Programs, Target Welcome, Internship Programs and other captainships as assigned.
  • Generate and maintain business reports by assembling metrics and providing data analysis on themes and trends that are impacting our HR business.
  • Provide administrative support to HRD teams including calendar management, meeting coordination,  PowerPoint presentations, photocopying, filing, expense report processes, travel planning, visit strategy, org charts, team video conferences, and other administrative duties as needed
Reports directly to a HR Director. Works closely with all team members the HR team supports and collaborates with the HR Center of Excellence Teams, Planning and Delivery, and Operational Business Teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-4 years of college or post-secondary education.
  • Ability to work independently and with urgency

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong guest service orientation and demonstrates flexibility
  • Strong computer, web-based, and reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous Human Resources support experience.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
