Senior SOA Developer

Summary of Duties:   

Responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise shared services in support of various integration projects. Provide technical consulting to management, business analysts, and technical associates while working in coordination with the architecture team. Acquire and interpret business requirements, create technical artifacts, and determine the most efficient and appropriate solution design. Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to interpret, modify, and produce documented integration application frameworks or architectures for global deployments. Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations as a Subject Matter Expert of the technical team. Deliver integration solutions leveraging the capability of SOA expertise for clients across application processes while adhering to the enterprise architecture, data security, and data management standards. Take a lead role in implementing integration solutions leveraging tools within the Oracle Middleware suite, including SOA 11g (BPM, BAM, BPEL Process Manager, Web Services Manager, ESB, OSB, ODI, OSR, and various adapters), as well as J2EE. Help business users develop functional requirements for integration. Write integration test scripts and provide support during user acceptance testing. Prepare documentation for code changes. Mitigate significant risks associated with projects that have a high technical complexity or involve significant challenges to the business. Support ongoing daily use of Oracle SOA Suite environment. Schedule and lead project and communication meetings with clients. Provide tier 2, on-call support for critical web application problems. Act as a Technical Expert in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems. Analyze performance of programs and correct deficiencies based on consultation with clients and approval of supervisor. 10% travel required (domestic and international).

 

Qualifications:            

 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and post production support. Must have three (3) years of experience with the following skills: J2EE enterprise application including Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs); and XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and WSDL versioning. Must have two (2) years of experience with the following skills: designing reusable and highly performant solutions; and Service Oriented Architecture. Must have one (1) year of experience with Enterprise RDBMS, ER Diagrams, and developing SQL programs.
