About This Opportunity

Identify, develop, and execute Law Pyramid Operations strategic projects. This includes leading process innovation with an emphasis on new and long term strategies and advising Law Department and Law Pyramid Senior Leadership regarding business operations.

Works closely with team members whose responsibilities include providing ongoing support of Law Department business operations. Provide business intelligence to further company initiatives and goals and drive data driven decision making.

Prioritize and direct strategic projects, programs and process improvement efforts that support long range planning as well as expense and resource optimization. Engage with and communicate to Law Department and Law Pyramid Senior Leadership.

Enhance and drive vendor optimization with key outside counsel partners
Drive expense and resource optimization efforts.
Lead efforts to identify and implement resource maximization projects within Law Department
Identify, create and engage in innovative outside counsel models to create mutually beneficial innovate fee arrangements.
Institutionalize operational knowledge by driving best practices, repeatable processes, and robust project management.
Actively benchmark with other industry groups to understand evolving law operations strategies
Lead execution of special projects related to emerging projects impacting Law.
Build and maintain key partnerships with Law Department and Pyramid leaders as well as in other pyramids and EDABI within Target to ensure that Law projects are in line with enterprise business intelligence, technology and process improvement initiatives.
Enhance the technology and business intelligence capabilities from reactive measurements to predictive modeling.
Develop and integrate meaningful, actionable, and current metrics into all appropriate aspects of Law.
Enhance the measurements strategy to tell the story of the Law Department from a business perspective
Build reporting that will drive positive behavior
Perform and present analysis that will support strategic changes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Ability to think strategically, conceiving new and unique ideas and turning them into a successful project
Proven ability to develop and leverage strong partnerships in order to obtain feedback and insight, influence, negotiate, and accomplish work through others
5-7 years experience in Operations with a proven track record of using data to drive decision making.
Strategic thinking and ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences
Strong strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple projects
Strong interpersonal capabilities; able to present, influence and lead at all levels of the organization
Strong cognitive skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational and conflict management skills
Proven project leadership and business acumen; solid track record of execution and results
Ability to synthesize complex findings to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities
Proven ability to structure analyze data to identify potential optimization opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple high priority concurrent projects
Proven leadership skills; ability to lead and inspire team members through coaching, mentoring, developing
Strong technical aptitude
Working knowledge of technology process and matters; willingness to learn new systems
Exceptional PC skills – proficient in Microsoft suite of products. Exceptional Excel skills
