Fulfillment Center Assistant Manager

Time & Attendance

Manage all associates time away from work issues using Aaron’s attendance policy.

Train associates to clock in / out using Aaron’s Payroll program.

Audit Payroll system reports / make corrections.

Process Weekly Payroll

 

Inventory

Control the flow of goods into and out of the FC via monitoring inventory levels, scheduling PO’s for delivery, maintain appointment schedule, rtoid scan error reports.

Investigate shipment discrepancies and resolve.

Consolidate like sku’s in one location where possible.

Rotate aging inventory.

 

Safety

Forklift, Fire Prevention, D.O.T. and General Safety of all associates.

New Employee Safety Orientation

Become knowledgeable, experienced and competent Safety Trainer.

Provide training, follow up and monitor compliance with safety programs.

Maintain appropriate safety related files and documents.

 

Coaching & Supervising

Complete new employee’s training using expectations checklist (found in the Personnel Management – Accountability section of the FC Manual).

Know, establish, train employees and monitor all procedures using Aaron’s FC Manual.

Know and train associates how to use Scanners, WMS, & office equipment.

Organizing associates daily activities and work schedules.

 

Labor Management

Recruiting, Interviewing, Hiring, Corrective Disciplinary Actions and Firing.

Maintain a workforce proportionate to the volume of business.

Manage overtime and prevent Over-Budget overtime.

Aaron’s trucks are in use 100%. Zero down time except for mechanical, driver illness or weather related issues.

Lead Person or Supervisor reporting to you is competent and can fulfill your responsibilities during time off (vacations, sick, etc.).

Employee Relations and Drug / Alcohol Training

 

Housekeeping

Maintain housekeeping requirements identified in Aaron’s Fire Prevention Plan.

 

Projects

As projects are put on a warehouse list, we must meet the date’s deadlines.

 

 

Other Training

Daily Job Board for all associates (Beginning assignment & Announcements)

Monthly Safety Topic

Monthly Driver Training

New Associate Workplace and Safety Orientations

Associate Expectations & Goal Planning documents

 

Customer contact

Answer all incoming calls. Phone never rings more than 3 rings.

Take “problem calls” if Facility Manager not available.

Communicate store order changes, order due / delivery schedules.

 

Order validation

Review store orders.

Check for complete sets, quantities, and multi-sku boxes.

Check order due schedule for missing store orders

 

Opening / closing the facility

All Assistant Managers will be in the facility before start of shift.

Facility will be closed when all the day’s work is completed by all Assistant Managers, unless previously scheduled with Facility Manager.

 

Security

Security Protocol (FC Manual – General Mgt)

 

Communication

All Assistant Managers must talk to each other throughout the day to be able to use warehousers where [most] needed.

Conduct meetings with management [Facility Manager/ Asst Mgrs] at start of shift or end of shift, to cover needs for next shift.
