About This Opportunity
This position is a subject matter expert or SME in developing compliance program for Stores to ensure Target meets and/or exceeds our regulatory obligations. This function includes managing a wide variety of compliance programs such as Women Infant & Children/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (WIC & SNAP) compliance, Adult Beverage compliance, and pricing compliance. This position will also manage regulatory inspections, lead special projects, and support compliance issues from new stores initiatives.

Developing compliance programs based on new and existing company-established best practices/processes and policies. This includes managing all policy changes and approvals.
Own regulatory inspection management and address any gaps and issues identified during inspections.
Manage via risk prioritization the necessary ancillary compliance programs; drive cost savings and reduce risk for Target
Work directly with the Field Compliance Support team to ensure proper expectations, performance, process, and reporting of key compliance programs
Consult with Stores and enterprise partners to drive compliance for Target in Stores, key partners include the following:
Stores & Store Operations, Field Compliance teams
Licensing and Legal
Enterprise teams and other SMEs
Assist in the proper operation and execution of the Store Compliance Assessment (SCA) for defined areas of responsibility and other compliance domains, including:
Dynamic assessment and/or question development
Quarterly performance monitoring
Remediation of compliance findings between rounds
Lead market visits in key compliance areas
Execution of tactical SCA operational components
Prepare management reports and presentations as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years’ work experience
Experience in developing compliance programs
Experience in store operations or stores
Proven ability to drive performance focus and improvement in Stores
Solid problem-solving skills and experience
Ability to work independently; strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation
Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop working business relationships and trust
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability maintaining relationships with partners in other parts of the business
Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, SharePoint)
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of 1st and 2nd line remediation and experience resolving compliance matters
Experience with regulations pertaining to product compliance (e.g. WIC, alcohol)
