Imaging Specialist (Government)

AT&T - SUITLAND, Maryland

AT&T Government Solutions is looking for an Imaging Specialist to provide scanning operations in support of a Government Program Office in Suitland, Maryland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform in a principal role of supporting the govt program office with a digital preservation project. Work is 100% on government site location.
2. Responsible for operating digital scanning equipment and other related imaging tools for use in the creation of electronic files for archiving. Source materials will include microfiche, microfilm and aperture cards.
3. Prepare source materials for scanning, including staging for organized operation and inspection of material quality condition. Ensure scanner is set properly to achieve desired objectives. Assist with data authentication.
4. Scan all source materials using efficient processes with multiple scanners. Troubleshoot and make adjustments to scanning equipment when necessary. Able to perform minor maintenance, set-up or repair of equipment.
5. Perform quality control of digital object creation (scanned images). Ensure proper transfer of images. Might include some post-processing, file naming, indexing, auditing and optical character recognition (OCR).

1. Current active TS/SCI clearance required (must have current SSBI).
2. High School diploma and 2 years of experience with scanning operations, digital preservation or archiving.
3. Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in the digital imaging process. Knowledge of computer operations, scanning software/applications and proficiency with MS Office Suite, file management and databases.
4. Ability to multi-task in support of numerous scan projects with a demanding, dynamic workload. Ability to operate multiple scanners working in parallel operations. Extreme attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills (written and oral); able to effectively interact with customers, partners, and associates at all levels.

Desired: 1) Two years of college or completion of Associates Degree. 2) Former DoD (military or civilian) experience desirable.
