Sr Finance Manager - CES

US Foods Culinary Equipment & Supplies, a Specialty Operation division of US Foods, is currently seeking a Sr. Finance Manager in Plymouth, Minnesota.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 
  • Leads financial insight process and skill development of CES Finance team to analyze monthly performance versus AOP, prior Year and forecasted commitments
  • Lead development of division’s AOP, monthly forecasts and capital planning
  • Prepare financial performance reports, operational results and trend analyses, period review report, customer profitability analysis, and decision support
  • Responsible for timely and accurate financial statements for all business units which comprise CES
  • Overseas compliance and controls across multiple selling channels including intracompany (broadline stock, presold and ship direct) and direct (mail order, ecomm, national accounts and field representatives)
  • Provide support to the Division President and other division staff members as the point of contact for division accounting and internal control issues
  • Guide, coach and develop the Finance team.  Coordinate the efforts of all personnel to ensure that daily, monthly, and quarterly responsibilities are met
  • Oversee division inventory control, purchase rebate collection and payroll activities
  • Oversight of distribution of cash through accounts payable and collection of outside and intracompany accounts receivable
  • Work with division and regional credit staff to resolve division specific issues; provide indirect supervision for the division street credit function
  • Complete ad hoc projects, analysis and initiatives as requested
  • Limited travel as necessary

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree required. BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred.

 

Related Experience:  Must possess minimum of five years accounting and/or financial analysis experience. Industry experience is preferred. Prior experience supervising a large accounting staff (10 or more member team) required. Ideal candidate has experience that includes collaboration in a functional matrixed environment and virtual leadership across multiple sites.

  • Experience in managing a multi-disciplined team and processes
  • Attention to detail, and ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment. 
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
