Senior RF Network Engineer (Government)

The Senior Design Engineer will support the Air-to-Ground team in providing network services to the Senior Leaders Communication’s Systems. Tasks will be in the areas of RF research, development, technology assessment, modeling and simulation, definition and performance trade-off analysis, system architecture development, model based systems engineering, doctrine and tactical policy development, prototype development including design, fabrication, test and evaluation planning and execution and integrated logistics support including deployment preparation and sustainment. A deep knowledge of IP Network transport over RF systems, and the implications of the physical layer on higher layer protocols is a must.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with RF, network, hardware, and software developers and test engineers through all phases of product development to deliver new features and product designs.
  • Work closely with the System Architect to ensure high level designs flow through to individual systems in ways that promote long term network scalability and sustainability.
  • Interface with specialized engineers to ensure seamless integration of technologies across multiple disciplines.
  • Design new and evolve existing network products through design or feature enhancements and performance improvements.
  • Define RF and analog radio requirements, model and simulate design enhancements, and validate product performance in a laboratory.
  • Resolve production yield issues on products.
  • Evaluate customer use cases and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum iterative design and development processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Ten (10) years professional technical experience in design, development and implementation of digital hardware and software related to RF systems.
  • Ten (10) years relevant experience in RF signal generation and test equipment, and digital signal processing.
  • Five (5) years experience in all aspects of laboratory and field testing, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data and analyzing results.
  • Education B.S. in Electrical Engineering; M.S. preferred with specific focus in Radio Communications.

Required Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a TS
